Even though Richardson is conveniently located just 20 minutes from downtown Dallas, the city maintains an independent air and boasts a number of unique attractions. One popular family destination is found at the Spring Creek Farm & Owens Museum where visitors can interact with farm animals such as goats, lambs and pot-bellied pigs. The museum features four farm buildings that house artifacts dating back to the early 1900s. Every May, the streets of Richardson come alive during the Wildflower Arts and Music Festival.
