Richardson Travel Guide
Welcome to Richardson, TX!
Even though Richardson is conveniently located just 20 minutes from downtown Dallas, the city maintains an independent air and boasts a number of unique attractions. One popular family destination is found at the Spring Creek Farm & Owens Museum where visitors can interact with farm animals such as goats, lambs and pot-bellied pigs. The museum features four farm buildings that house artifacts dating back to the early 1900s. Located centrally, the Galatyn Park Fountain and Plaza is a prominent downtown attraction which showcases a unique vanishing pool fountain with elliptical water eruptions. Shoppers appreciate Richardson Square Mall, which features a number of department stores, specialty shops and dining options. Every May, the streets of Richardson come alive during the Wildflower Arts and Music Festival. The event showcases a petting zoo, live entertainment on four stages and an array of food vendors specializing in Texan cuisine.
